Root River Golf Club consists of nine holes of challenging but fair golf on the north side of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. Come experience tight, tree-lined fairways, generous and moderately sloping greens, and the best clubhouse in Sault Ste Marie with Barsanti's Restaurant.
Tee Times
Tee times are generally available at Root River Golf Club seven days a week, from 7:00am until about 7:00pm. Tee times do vary, however, with our tournament and event schedule; this schedule is always changing, so check back often!

Pro Shop
Root River Golf Club has a fully stocked pro shop to meet all your golfing needs. We carry top equipment brands from Callaway, Titleist, Cobra, and Adams. Root River Pro Shop also has clothing lines from Aureus and Sunice Clothing, and shoes from Foot Joy and Callaway.

The Course
Root River Golf Club is a nine hole par 35 layout, with four different teeing options:
- Blue tees: course measures 3103 yards
- White tees: course measures 2927 yards
- Gold tees: course measures 2700 yards

Playing The Course
Enjoy yourself! "The Root" is truly a risk/reward course - cut off the dogleg on #4, but beware the large waste area awaiting a poorly struck shot. Longer hitters can attempt to drive #1 and #6, but beware of the trees awaiting your ball left and right (the occasional favourable bounce never hurt either).
No matter how you're hitting the ball on the course, our fearless cart girl will be by quite often to replenish your energy with snacks, or help you celebrate that last great shot with your beverage of choice. Of course, if you choose to wait until after your round before celebrating, Barsanti's Restaurant is waiting for you behind the 1st tee with a full menu and an outdoor patio for you to enjoy.
